The Very Hungry Bum, written and illus­trated by Claudia Rowe, narrated by John Flaus.

Like a very famous cater­pillar, The Very Hungry Bum consumes quite a lot.  Over the course of a week it devours several pairs of underpants and other innocent objects, which were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Then, after a gluttonous week and a partic­ularly indulgent camping trip, it undergoes an incredible transformation.

The Very Hungry Bum is a new iBook for iPads, iPhones and iPod touches. It is a fun and cheeky parody of a classic children’s book that I’m sure you remember!

An independent author, this is Claudia Rowe’s first self-published book… but she’s already working on the next one.

The Waterhole – Graeme Base (iPad)

Overall, this is a well developed app with an interactive version of the Graeme Base classic. Fans of the print title will enjoy this interactive edition in digital, although there is still no substitute for the print title with art quality images. Recommended.

I bought a stack for my friends and students here in japan. It’s trans-cultural humour, the kids love it. My piano teacher friend said her students shoult “We want the bum! We want the bum!” and want to copy the pictures into their notebooks — in piano class! Cheers.

This is a beautiful book app! The artwork is engaging and clever because there are multiple images embedded in each illustration creating a rich visual experience.
